Sir Nicholas Serota, Chair of the Arts Council England, visited Luton on 19 February 2020, spending an extremely busy day visiting Bury Park, Marsh Farm and the UKCCA before meetings with Luton Council, the Culture Trust and a round table discussion with artists and the Trust’s Pioneer Members at the University of Bedfordshire. The visit was shown in an extended piece on BBC Look East that evening, highlighting Luton as a place of great creativity and energy.
Sir Nicholas was very complimentary towards our work, stating:
‘The Trust is playing a vital role both in itself and by bringing partners together across culture and the creative industries…. generating real opportunities for artists and audiences as well as building skills.’
