Trainee Programme

Our Trainee Programme creates paid entry-level opportunities for people looking to build experience in the creative and cultural sector. Trainees work alongside the team on real projects, events, communications, exhibitions and community-facing activity, gaining practical skills, confidence and insight into how cultural organisations operate.

Trainees 2025 - 2026

Sites As Destinations Project

Sites As Destinations is a collaborative social media campaign designed to highlight the hidden gems of Luton’s key hotspots, Stockwood Discovery Centre and Wardown House, Museum and Gallery.

After capturing and collating photographs of Wardown’s covert mysteries, interviewing visitors and conversing with Wardown’s Curatorial team, both Trainees shared their unique discoveries through a campaign ‘Crack the Code’, spanning the course of several months.

Creative Pioneer Programme 2025-2026: Trainee Project

The Creative Pioneers was a year-long developmental programme for young creatives aged 18-34 with start-up businesses. It featured a production of 2 workshops with funding, monthly upskilling workshops and frequent mentoring, plus free venue access and extended support post-programme.

Leaflet Design

Problem - Lack of awareness of arts sites under the Culture Trust brand and as a arts charity.
Creative Solution - Cross promotional design across sites that was easy to print and produce, to educate the public of cultural venues under the arts charity and it’s facilities, whilst considering identities of each brand.

Creative Trainees Kiah and Srea bounced ideas with each other, building from prior Long gallery leaflet designs. Drafting concepts, gathering feedback from marketing department, test prints and applying revisions real time for a final design that is cost effective and using thoughtful design approaches to guide viewers eyes.
